Silverstream Podiatry offers high quality comprehensive footcare and patient education in all areas of foot health.We observe strict adherence to the Code of Practice which includes Safe Practice, Universal Standard Precautions and Infection Control as well as the Ethical Codes and Standards of Conduct as prescribed by the Podiatrists Board of NZ.All instruments used on patients are autoclave sterilised.All sterilising equipment is calibrated annually.All electrical equipment is safety checked annually.Silverstream Podiatry is also an ACC Accredited practice meeting the ACC Requirements for Podiatry Services.
Julianne Jackson - Principal Podiatrist
Julianne is a senior podiatrist with 29 years’ experience as a clinician. She qualified with a National Diploma in Podiatry and a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) from the Central Institute of Technology. Julianne spends much of her time at the Silverstream practice working in a multi-disciplinary environment with physiotherapists and other allied health professionals.
From September 2014 to October 2021 Julianne also worked part-time at Hutt Hospital managing and treating high risk foot pathologies with a focus on diabetes foot care and wound management.
Julianne is an active member of Podiatry New Zealand and served on the National Executive from 2003 – 2006.She is also a past board member and Deputy Chair of the Podiatrists Board of New Zealand (Responsible Authority) 2006 – 2013.Julianne also served on the Board of Trustees for the Family Health Care PHO in Upper Hutt from 2009 – 2011.
Julianne is a registered with the Ministry of Health and holds a current licence to practice as a ‘Podiatrist’ issued by the Podiatrists Board of NZ.She is also an ACC registered provider.Julianne is a member of the NZ Wound Care Society and the NZ Society for the Study of Diabetes. Julianne engages in ongoing professional development and upskilling, and regularly attends conferences and seminars.
In 2016, Julianne was honoured to receive a Career Achievement Award from her professional association (Podiatry New Zealand) in recognition of the ongoing dedication and commitment to podiatry in New Zealand.
